Gabriele Ferzetti as Draco

Gabriele Ferzetti was an Italian actor with a career spanning over 60 years in film, and television. He was born on 17 March 1925 in Rome, Italy, and was initially trained as a lawyer, but he was passionate about acting from an early age. He joined a local drama group, and eventually decided to pursue a career in acting.

Ferzetti made his film debut in 1942, appearing in Street of the Five Moons. He went on to appear in over 150 films, including several international productions, and became one of Italy’s most famous and versatile actors. He appeared in films of various genres, including historical dramas, comedies, and thrillers, and was known for his powerful performances and ability to convey a wide range of emotions.

Gabriele Ferzetti also played a starring role in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969) playing Marc-Ange Draco, the father of Bond’s love interest Tracy di Vicenzo and the head of the European crime syndicate Unione Corse.

In addition to his film work, Ferzetti also made many television appearances, mostly in his native Italy. He continued to act with his last movie appearance in Diciotto anni dopo (2010). Gabriele Ferzetti passed away on 2 December 2015, at the age of 90.
