Additionally, it provides a distinct dim grey color, rendering the watch suitable for a spy’s covert operations and contributing to its vintage military appeal.
The case measures 42 mm in diameter and is slightly slimmer than standard Seamaster models due to the domed sapphire crystal. This crystal, treated with an anti-reflective coating, adds a touch of retro aesthetic and minimizes glare, though it might produce multiple reflections that may not appeal to all.
The unidirectional, counter-clockwise rotating bezel and dial feature an aluminium insert treated through anodization. This process reproduces a beautifully aged brown hue often referred to as “tropical,” ensuring the watch retains its aesthetic appeal over time. However, the choice of aluminium for the bezel, while providing a pleasing look, might not be as scratch-resistant as a ceramic option.
