Damian Falco – The All-American NSA Chief
Damian Falco is a National Security Agency (NSA) Chief and ally in the 2002 James Bond film, Die Another Day. The character is portrayed by American actor Michael Madsen, and although he’s a minor character, he’s left a lasting impression.
He’s first seen when the West exchanges Zao for Bond in North Korea early in the film.
He’s later present in a bunker near the demilitarized zone (DMZ) between North Korea and South Korea as Graves uses Icarus to destroy the minefield separating the two countries.
Falco orders the launch of an ASAT to intercept Icarus, but unfortunately, the satellite destroys it. James Bond and NSA agent Jinx manage to board Graves’ plane and kill him, putting an end to the Icarus satellite’s operation.
Michael Madsen, born on September 25, 1958, started his acting career at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company as an apprentice under John Malkovich. He gained worldwide recognition for his roles in Quentin Tarantino’s films, Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, where he portrayed the characters “Mr. Blonde” and assassin Budd, respectively.
Madsen’s filmography includes notable movies such as The Doors, Thelma & Louise, Free Willy, Wyatt Earp, Donnie Brasco, Die Another Day, and Scary Movie 4, among others. He has also appeared in popular TV shows like 24 and The Killing.
Madsen has been married three times, first to Georganne LaPiere, then to Jeannine Bisignano, and currently to DeAnna Morgan, with whom he has three sons. In addition to his acting career, Michael Madsen has a line of hot sauces called American Badass.
