Amazon MGM Announces Bond 26 Producers

James Bond is back in business, and this time, with a production dream team straight from the upper echelons of Hollywood. In a move that fuses pedigree with panache, Amazon MGM Studios has tapped Amy Pascal and David Heyman to steer the next chapter of the iconic spy franchise.

With a legacy built on Aston Martins, vodka martinis, and box office billions, Bond is entering a new era—one that promises both reverence for tradition and a jolt of modern cinematic electricity.

A New Chapter, the Same Unmistakable Signature

Amazon MGM Studios confirmed that Pascal and Heyman have officially joined as producers for the upcoming Bond 26. Pascal will produce under her Pascal Pictures banner, while Heyman brings the project to life through Heyday Films — the same outfit responsible for enchanting generations with the Harry Potter saga.

Speaking with the weight of both legacy and ambition, Courtenay Valenti, Head of Film at Amazon MGM Studios, said: “We are approaching every creative decision with James Bond, which Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have so masterfully steered, with the greatest sense of responsibility.”

She added: “Part of an elite group of producers who have developed and managed massive film franchises to box office success and critical acclaim, Amy Pascal and David Heyman are two of the most accomplished, experienced, and respected film producers in our industry.

We are honored to be working with them on James Bond’s next chapter and are excited to deliver to global audiences storytelling that upholds the impeccable legacy of this beloved character.”

Shaken, Not Stirred—But Definitely Restructured

Amazon MGM Studios, along with longstanding franchise stewards Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, also announced a new joint venture to house the rights to the Bond intellectual property. Crucially, Wilson and Broccoli remain co-owners of the franchise, maintaining a throughline to the movies’ Eon-honed heritage.

In a joint statement, Pascal and Heyman echoed that reverence: “James Bond is one of the most iconic characters in the history of cinema. We are humbled to follow in the footsteps of Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson who made so many extraordinary films and honored and excited to keep the spirit of Bond very much alive as he embarks on his next adventure.”

For Pascal, this is a continuation of a robust relationship with Amazon MGM. She’s currently in post-production on Project Hail Mary, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and starring Ryan Gosling, due to land in cinemas in March 2026.

Pascal’s name is most indelibly etched into the Spider-Man franchise. She produced the most recent Tom Holland trilogy, with a fourth film—this time under the direction of Destin Daniel Cretton—set to begin production this summer. She’s also credited on the Spider-Verse films, including the upcoming Beyond the Spider-Verse.

Heyman, meanwhile, stands tall in the pantheon of modern British movie producers. Best known for shepherding the entire Harry Potter saga, his portfolio reads like a cinephile’s dream list: Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, Marriage Story, Gravity, Barbie, and the beloved Paddington movies, and the recent Wonka starring Timothée Chalamet.

Currently, he’s prepping the highly anticipated Harry Potter television series and putting finishing touches on Klara and the Sun, Taika Waititi’s take on Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel, starring Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams. He’s also reteaming with Pascal for Jay Kelly—a production that seems increasingly like a masterclass in prestige filmmaking on both sides of the Atlantic.

License to Elevate

As the new Bond movie inches into development, there’s one thing audiences can count on: with Pascal and Heyman at the helm, and the blessing of Broccoli and Wilson, the next outing for 007 may be less about reinvention and more about elevation.

Bond may change his face, his gadgets, and his foes—but the essence remains eternal. And if this new creative cohort has anything to do with it, he’s about to enter his most ambitious era yet.
